I feel happy and proud to announce
that we, a group of experienced industrialists and a team of
highly qualified academicians, have come together to bring forward
an institute to steer the youth in this field. I understand that
all apparel factories and businesses still rely on one important
ingredient for its success and that is “people”. Because of the
complexity and dexterity involved in this trade no one has yet
been able to replace the need for efficient and knowledgeable
professionals. To cater to this requirement, the institute will
begin with four courses in the field of apparel and fashion.
The unique feature of this
institute is the focus on practical and application oriented
curriculum. The valuable inputs from the team members who also
come from the Garment industry, have made the courses more
industry oriented. Their active involvement will ensure tremendous
practical exposure.
In keeping with our vision we have
joined hands with a leading name in this field, Pearl Academy of
Fashion at New Delhi. This institute is a balance of academics and
industry based approach. With their technical collaboration we
hope to benefit from their vast teaching experience in the fashion
industry.
Ludhiana is the heartland of the
garment industry in India and its contribution cannot be ignored
or undermined. The latent need for professionals makes it a
natural choice for establishing our first branch here.
